The U.S.-made liquid oxygen plant could not be installed in the hallet:
Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital, attached to GSVM Medical College, was supposed to set up a unit of the US-made liquid oxygen plant in the course of special preparations in view of the third wave of Covid, omicron, but its civil work has not yet been completed. The price of this liquid oxygen unit is said to be two crore rupees. The liquid oxygen generation plant from the US in Halat came up on January 15 but has not been installed so far. Its main problem is that the electricity in it, which Kesco has not yet installed, apart from this, the civil work has also not been completed.
Kesco has not yet given electricity.
The US-made liquid oxygen plant at Halat Hospital has been kept in the store room for the past 15 days, but the dedicated line for it has not yet been commissioned. Dr Sanjay Kala, principal of the medical college, is trying hard to improve the hospital, but after the code of conduct, the work is getting very lax.
Civil work not completed
Once the team has returned from Bengaluru for the medical plant being set up in Hallet. According to the way he had told, the civil work has not been completed. The medical college administration had also told that the oxygen consumption from the other plant is being completed until this plant is ready, but due to the election, not only this plant, many other works are stalled because the money which had already been made up is also not being released from the government side.
14 to 15 districts depend on Halat
Apart from the city, patients from 14 to 15 districts come from the surrounding areas. According to Dr. Kala, the price of the liquid oxygen plant from the US is said to be around two crore rupees. At present, three oxygen generation plants of one thousand litre per minute capacity (PSA) have been installed at Halat Hospital and two 10,000 litre (LMO) liquid medical oxygen tanks have been installed.
In view of the future requirements, the demand from the government for setting up of an additional two units of 10,000 litres of liquid medical oxygen by the hospital administration has been approved. According to Dr. Kala, at present all the oxygen generation plants of Halat Hospital are running and we will also make it operational as soon as possible.
Government's claims about oxygen plant hollow
In the second wave of Corona, there was not a single oxygen generation plant in any government hospital in the city, then there was so much hue and cry about oxygen. Had a single oxygen plant been built by the government in Halat, many lives could have been saved.
